Do I have to sign-up to win an award from The Challenge Program?
No. Aside from the Community Service Award, there is no application process to win an award from The Challenge Program. All students are eligible for every award.  For Community Service, however, we do ask that you fill out a form that documents and verifies the number of hours you performed community service.
Who determines The Challenge Program award winners?
Your school administration (guidance counselors, scholarship committees, etc.) determine the winners of the awards that we present at your school. The Challenge Program receives the names that your school sends us and then processes the certificates and checks.
I won an award last year. Am I eligible to win again this year?
Yes! There is no limit on the amount of Challenge Program awards you can win. You can win multiple categories in one year or you can win the same category for two or three consecutive years.
Can I win an award in more than one category?
Yes! There is no limit on the amount of Challenge Program awards you can win. You can win multiple categories in one year or you can win the same category for two or three consecutive years.
What happens when there is a tie at my school, say for Attendance or Academic Excellence?
In the event of a tie, school officials determine who the recipient of the award will be. Many schools break ties by drawing names out of a hat. Others use factors like school involvement, grades, and attendance to break ties. Ultimately, it is up to the individual school to determine a way to break the tie.
