Forest Hills Students Learn Financial Literacy and Good Habits

On Thursday morning, students at the Forest Hills School District had the opportunity to learn about financial fitness.

Sharon Lehman, who’s a school liaison for Forest Hills, taught the students multiple things, including what is good and bad debt, how to write a check, and what you can expect certain things to cost later on in your life.

The event was held in conjunction with the Challenge Program.

“I’m teaching them the basics, and they’re going to need what I teach them just to be able to survive in life, whether it’s savings, hopefully, they develop some good savings habits and understand the importance of that, and know what a checking account is,” Lehman said.
