[McDonald, PA]— The Challenge Program, Inc. is proud to announce a new partnership with Reaxis, marking a shared commitment to empowering students and fostering career readiness. As part of this collaboration, Reaxis has contributed $10,000 to support The Challenge Program, Inc’s initiatives in preparing high school students for success in the workforce and beyond.
The Challenge Program, Inc. works with high schools and businesses to motivate students to develop skills that will serve them throughout their lives. Through its program, students are introduced to career opportunities, rewarded for excellence, and inspired to achieve in areas such as attendance, STEM, community service, academic improvement, and academic excellence.
As part of this partnership, Reaxis recently hosted an event on January 17th aimed at bridging the gap between education and workforce readiness. Fort Cherry educators were invited to tour Reaxis’s facilities, providing them with firsthand insights into how science and mathematical concepts are applied in the workplace. The goal of this event was to create opportunities for educators to think more holistically about teaching skill sets as they relate to careers.
“We were delighted to host the educators from Fort Cherry School District. Any opportunity for Reaxis Inc. to share insights about our business and its connection to the curriculum shaping future generations is truly rewarding. We look forward to continuing these valuable interactions, mentoring and guiding students and teachers as Fort Cherry and The Challenge Program create meaningful learning experiences.” – Dr. Brett L. Allen. President at Reaxis
Following the tour, a Q&A session allowed educators to engage directly with Reaxis employees, fostering meaningful discussions about critical skills and technologies. The event also included a unique workshop titled “You Teach Me,” where roles were reversed, and Reaxis employees shared insights on essential skills, traits, and processes crucial for success in today’s workforce. This collaborative approach aimed to equip educators with the tools to implement real-world skills in their classrooms.
Educators at Fort Cherry High School found the experience eye-opening and valuable for their students’ future careers. “I learned that there are so many more job opportunities available at a manufacturing company than just science-based jobs,” one educator shared. “I also learned the importance of developing soft skills and instilling motivation in them.” Another teacher emphasized the impact of the presentation, stating, “The presenters reinforced the importance of ‘soft skills’ that are in demand, such as teamwork and problem-solving—skills I already incorporate in my classroom.” Looking ahead, a faculty member reflected, “I will teach my students that the skills learned in school are important in the real world, using this business as an example.”
The $10,000 sponsorship from Reaxis will enable The Challenge Program, Inc. to expand its reach and continue delivering impactful programs that connect students with opportunities in the business world. This partnership also reflects Reaxis’s commitment to corporate social responsibility and its dedication to supporting the communities it serves.
“Facilitating this educator tour was more than just an interaction between business and education. Together, we were able to build meaningful connections that will transcend beyond the classroom and grow the employability skills of our future workforce.” Brianna Hamon, Program Development Manager at The Challenge Program, Inc.
Together, Reaxis and The Challenge Program, Inc. are committed to creating meaningful change by inspiring and equipping young people to pursue their goals with confidence and determination.
